How to Enter :

All potential contestants must submit an entry form and VHS tape which includes:

(1)A music video directed, shot, and edited by the individual. The video can be for any band. If there are areas on the video that you have had additional help on (for example, editing) please note that. Please only include one video and not a reel. If you would like us to see various other productions you have done, you may split screen your contestant video and run the clips simultaneously while you are telling us about yourself. Your videos can not be returned, so please make additional copies and do not send us your masters.

(2) A maximum of four minutes of you on tape telling us why we should pick you, who your favorite directors are, what your favorite video of all time is, and if you could do a video for any artist, who it would be. Please also mention if you have had any formal training or experience in music video/film/TV production. Let us really get to see your personality and your drive!

Questions?

FAQ's:
Q1:Why VHS? A1: We have our reasons, and yes, we do still actually have VCR's. It's mostly due to the fact that we will be receiving many submissions, and we want to make sure that you are serious enough to go the extra mile for this amazing opportunity to propel your career. There are many production houses that can convert DVD/MiniDV/etc. files to VHS files for a very small fee, and we recommend consulting local production guides to find these companies. There are also ways you can do it yourself, for example, by copying your digital file back to a camera, and then connecting the camera to a VCR to record on VHS. Please give yourself enough time for the conversion so you don't miss our deadlines and won't have to pay rush fees. In addition, if your work looks good on VHS, it can only be better in it's original format.

Q2:Can you do a video for my band on your show?A2:At this time we are only working with signed acts. If you or your band falls into that category, please have your reprentative contact us.

Q3:Can I do a video for a currently popular song and have actors in my video instead of the real band?A3:Yes, you can! It may even add to the creativity of your overall video.

Q4: Will we get paid while we are on the show so that we can cover our expenses back home?A4:All contestants will receive an "honorarium" for special services, meaning yes you'll get paid but we can't call it a salary. We can't tell you how much either, but I'm sure it will cover your monthly expenses unless you are already living the music video lifestyle!

Q5: What if I shot the video and gave it to someone else to edit...what if I was an assistant director...etc?A5:If you didn't direct, shoot, and edit the entire video yourself, please note what roles you did or did not do on the entry form accompanying the tape. When we make our final decisions, we will be calling you to do an interview and see whether you really know your stuff, so it's better to put that out there up front!

Q6: What if I am part of a directing team?A6:Directing teams are fine, we look forward to seeing the tape.

Q7: It looks like the entry form changed to include a release- what if I already sent my tape in and it included the old form?A7:Our distributors have made us change the form to include the release, sorry about that! If you have any questions as to what this means, please feel free to e-mail me and ask. In addition, if we want to include your contestant on-air part and you signed the old form, someone from our office will call you and send over the revised form. Sorry about the inconvenience and thanks for your patience!
